Thank you to everyone who made it to our Grand Opening Celebration this last weekend - we hope everyone had as much fun as we did!
One of the highlights was having Baddlands Cycling Club and Gonzaga Cycling Club both show up on Saturday ready to ride. The weather was better than forecast and they rolled-out for a ride after signing autographs and mugging for photos with star-struck customers.
We are excited to be affiliated with both teams this year and look forward to having them on our upcoming shop rides.
You can still stop in to check-out the new digs if you missed the celebration and we will be glad to show you around.

Sunday Ride Report
Did not have tons of time or energy today for a long road ride so that meant a quickie out to Mt. Hope and back on Valley Chapel Road. There was a good bit of suffering riding into a headwind from the south, 25 degrees air and a few long climbs.
Interestingly our pastor spoke on suffering today (even on the bike) in the context of Romans 5:3-4."but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, 4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope" It is pretty cool when you can go to church and hear a great message that includes bikes - Bam!
This verse is very appropriate this time of year due to all of the above plus the loss of conditioning over the winter. I am thinking of having it printed on my top tube to remind me of suffering. Sometimes hope is all I have with some groups of riders....
The road was in good shape until the very top of the grade where it is shaded all of the time. I was pedaling gingerly over some compact ice, but it was only about 30 meters long.
Not much else to report except that California Creek is flowing nicely into Latah Creek at the intersection of Valley Chapel and Elder Roads. This must surely be a sign of early spring,,,,
The creek may not be flowing for long though due to an industrious and overachieving beaver in the area.
Here is the link to the recordings at Summit Ridge Christian Fellowship if you want to listen to the bikey/suffering message when it posts in a few days.

Grand Opening Celebration Continues
Last night we kicked-off our Grand Opening and Three Year Anniversary as owners of Two Wheel Transit Bicycles with a ribbon cutting ceremony followed by our ladies night event. We had a great turnout for both and are very grateful for all of the support we have received as new owners during the past three years.
A big Shout-Out to Greater Spokane, Inc., for organizing and supporting the ribbon-cutting. GSI does a lot for the economy and businesses of Spokane.
The celebration continues with an open house today and tomorrow with cookies and refreshments and a meet the teams event on Saturday at Noon. We will also be drawing for prizes Saturday at 4pm so be sure to get your name in the drawing before then.
We have some great prizes for the drawings from Bontrager, Garmin, Kurt and Ibex.
Below are a few photos from the event - enjoy!
Remember the meet the Teams at Noon on Saturday for photos and autographs with your favorite local racers!

Misc Stuff
Front of the Building is almost done - just in time for spring
Yesterday we even had light coming in the front doors and illuminating our north clothing wall - must be a sign....
We are going to celebrate our 3 years as owners and South Perry District Grand Opening this coming week starting with a Ribbon Cutting at 4pm Thursday, the 21st. This will be followed by our annual Ladies Night with spring clothing previews and specials, maintenance clinics, nutrition Q&A, refreshments and Prize Drawings.
The cool ladies over at Title Nine will be having a pre event sale from 4:30 - 6pm that day and then heading over for the festivities. The celebration will continue Friday and Saturday with a meet the team event on Saturday at 12pm and prize drawings at 4pm. Should be a great time for us and our guests.
Finally, I rode the Valley Chapel Loop to Rockford on the 3rd of February and was delighted to find that not only could I ride that far, but that the road was gritty, but very ride able nonetheless. Interestingly I did not ride that loop until the 18th of March last year. Perhaps I had waited until I was in some sort of shape before attempting the ride last year - clearly not the case this year. I swear the grade had grown steeper and longer since I last rode it in October 2012.
So begins another year of suffering, adventures, triumph, tears and community on two wheels - bring it on.
